Romney, Obama and Paul; Cleaning Out The Closets Part 3 of 4
Hello my friends,
And welcome to Part Three of my Cleaning Out the Closets of the Presidential Candidates series. Today's subject will be Ron Paul. You don't hear much about Ron Paul, with all the Brouhaha in the media about Mitt Romney, so I consider Ron Paul to be a wild card. I'm not a fan of his. Why? I'll tell you after we sum up his bio. But, regardless of my feelings towards him, I will do my best to remain unbiased and ethical.
So. On to Ron Paul. First, here are your links:

Let's begin, shall we? Ronald Ernest Paul was born August 20, 1935, to Harold and Margaret Paul. There's no real information on Ron Paul's parents that I could find. If you know of any links, please share them. One website I found states that he was born to "Warrior Parent"..not quite sure what to make of that. Apparently from childhood on, his father prepared him physically for battle. His mother taught him everything she could to ensure he would attain a high standing in the future. He eventually almost became like a nemesis to the Rhodes Scholars. He graduated from Gettysburg College with a Bachelor degree in Science. He then continued on to Duke University and earned his M.D. He met his wife Carol, and they later married.
Ron Paul worked as a medical officer in the 1960's, as well as being a OB/GYN. Ron Paul is also a published Author, writing such novels as: The Case for Gold, Liberty Defined: 50 Essential Issues That Affect Our Freedom, End The Fed, The Revolution: A Manifesto, Pillars of Prosperity, and A Foreign Policy of Freedom: Peace, Commerce, and Honest Friendship
Some people refer to Ron Paul as the "Godfather" of the Tea Party. But, technically, he is a Paleolibertarian. He supports limited Government, low taxes, free markets, strict adherence to the Constitution, and a return to monetary policies based on commodity-backed currency. ( I have borrowed heavily from http://www.conservapedia.com/Ron_Paul#Early_life_and_education for this paragraph)
Okay. Now, before we get into the skeleton closet, here is why I'm not a fan. If you read the last couple of links, you'll notice that they're about conspiracy theories...I'm not a fan of conspiracy theories, as that's ALL they will ever be..theories. Until someone shows up with some cold hard facts, I don't buy into it. BUT. This makes him a wild card. Because, as we all know, there are A LOT of conspiracy theorists out there who would love to have one of their own in power. I'm sure they think he'll blow the lid off of all the Government secrets.
Some more reasons I do not like Ron Paul? He's Racist. He's a Bigot. He's Anti-Choice, he is Anti-gay, and he's Anti-Woman. He also views Social Security as Unconstitutional. In the 80's and 90's he tried to abolish Public Schools. He's against low-income children getting health insurance from the Government. He's against anyone, basically, who isn't a millionaire. He suggests that people who are harassed at their workplace just simply quit their jobs. And the one that pisses me off the most? He voted AGAINST legislation to catch online predators and pedophiles. Here is one of the links for that information:

I know, I'm failing miserably at staying unbiased, but in my own personal opinion, this man is just as dangerous, if not more dangerous (due to his obvious instability) than Mitt Romney.
At this rate, do you think there's anything in his Skeleton Closet? Let's take a look:

Okay. When I ran a search for Ron Paul's Skeletons, I got MORE hits than I did for Mitt Romney...that's saying a lot!
Let's go through the most relevant ones.
1985: Ron Paul starts a newsletter that's clearly Racist. You can see some of the quotes throughout the links I've attached. And, of course, in 2001, he tried to deny that he had anything to do with it, blaming everything on a Ghostwriter. - But wait...wouldn't it have had to been approved through you, Ron Paul? Hmmmm...Meanwhile he's been quoting racist views all over the place, appearing on Alex Jones' radio show and spewing hate, and giving interviews to the John Birch Society.
There's no real proof that he's done anything "terrible" in his personal life, and he doesn't seem to have his hand in anyone else's pockets or vice-versa.
As for his conspiracy theories, he seems reluctant to own up to that part of himself, much like he enjoys denying his bigotry. But he continues to associate with Alex Jones, The 9/11 Truthers, and the John Birch Society.
I sincerely hope he's a wild card that gets played and discarded soon, but I do think it's time to keep a closer eye one him. He's been awfully attractive to the younger crowds due to some of his views, as well as to the conspiracy theory crowd.
And that, my friends, is Ron Paul. And I apologize for not being able to remain unbiased with this one. I promise to try harder in the future.
Stay tuned for part Four, which will be out this week.
Please feel free to comment, as to be informed, you MUST have the FACTS. Debate is welcome, but trolls, abuse and violence will be dealt with swiftly.
And to my readers, as usual, thank you. You continue to educate me and support this blog, and I am grateful.
With the highest Respect,
An Ordinary Woman
