Another day goes by...It gets worse

Hi Friends,

After receiving some feedback from friends and people on Twitter, there are some pieces that I apparently missed in my last post. Some VERY important issues concerning Abortion. -Please note, this blog isn't just about Abortion, it is about ALL of the rights being taken from us at an alarming rate...I just happened to choose Abortion because that seems to be one of the focal issues right now. But, if you think about it, it almost isn't..all the Abortion laws that have recently come into effect seem to be almost a smokescreen for something else...there's more to this than meets the eye.

And let me tell you, with what I've dug up so far - and I've barely scratched the surface - this fight we are in right now is about to get worse. The urgency is increasing with every day...Some of the information I found distressed me so much I called a lawyer to discuss whether or not I should even be blogging about it...And I hate to leave you hanging on something like that, but I need to make sure my sources are correct, and I've got all my i's dotted and my t's crossed. All I can say right now, is it mostly has nothing to do with Abortion.

One thing I've decided to do is to attempt to post links to some of the articles and news stories I've found regarding each post. I'd like it if , after reading my blog, you would go to the links, read for yourself, and leave me comments about what you think is going on...I'm going to need all the help I can get to get this message out there!

You know, when I started this blog, I was determined to stay unbiased..everyone knows I lean to the left, I'm a woman and I'm gay...so I'm finding it hard to remain unbiased, but I will do my best.

Okay..on with the show. In my last blog, I brought up 3 key laws that have come into effect or are on their way to being passed. I'm going to bring up one more, and see if I succeed in posting some of the links for it as well.

This one may be one of the most horrifying..There is a law that certain states are passing or trying to pass stating that if a woman miscarries, she can be charged with murder. And some of you might not be aware, but this is NOT the first attempt at this law..the first attempt was in Utah in 2010. Basically, if a woman miscarries, she can be arrested, and it's up to her to prove that the miscarriage was unintentional...which would be pretty hard to do these days with all the ridiculous laws being put into effect pertaining to women!

I couldn't find a lot of information on this one..it's almost as if they're trying to hide this one, but I doubt it..it's just been archived, and that means a little more digging. Worry not, I will find the information!

I really don't know what to think about these laws..And I've just picked 4 out of over 1200 laws pertaining to women that have been passed within the last 12 months!

Okay, time for some articles. If they don't show up, or if you have trouble following them, please let me know. Feedback is needed, to be as educated as possible about these issues will help us win this war! I declare a REVOLUTION!!!

To my fellow modern-day Suffragettes: DO NOT GIVE UP...KEEP STRONG...EDUCATE YOURSELF AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE ON THE ISSUES.

And I can't stress this enough: If you get trolled by someone, or harassed by someone, or bullied by someone just because you're part of this movement or your beliefs, ignore them..they keep marching in circles saying the same damn thing over and over again because they know it might get to you.

My apologies for the short blog, I promise my next one tomorrow will be much more in depth!

With love and respect,

An Ordinary Woman.

  2. Criminalizing miscarriage sadly is all too real. I've read about a couple of women already who were investigated for attempted "illegal abortion" because they accidentally fell down the stairs. It might even get to the point that lifestyle choices a women makes may be enough evidence to convict someone of causing their fetus to abort.... To many people, women are just incubators only worthy of bearing children. They have no say and no rights when they are reproducing (or even have the potential to reproduce). This is nothing short of evil in my mind...

  3. Jill, I've heard from a few people that they are already trying to convict women just for their life choices. And then forcing some women experiencing miscarriages to carry the baby until they go into labor naturally..cruel and unusual punishment...Thank you so much for your comment! If you think I've left anything else, or you want a topic discussed, please let me know!
